All Life Requires Water
Water is the second most critical nutrient, (oxygen being the first).
Animals in the wild obtain most of their water intake from eating fresh prey. Cats came from the desert where they were adapted to a low water intake. Their diet consisted of mice, rats and small prey. 70% of their water intake came from their diet, (remember, mammals are 70% water). When they found water in the desert, they instinctually knew moving water was safe water and stagnant water was not (that is why cats are attracted to water from the faucet or fountains and they test the water by pawing it).
Dehydration
Being 2% dehydrated can impact health and contribute to a 50% reduction in cognitive skills. Being 10% dehydrated can lead to chronic diseases. As the body becomes more dehydrated, the impact of toxins become greater. Imagine a cup of water and a swimming pool. If the same amount of toxin were added to each, the impact of drinking the water from the cup would be greater because the toxin is more concentrated whereas the toxin is more diluted in the pool. The kidneys, which filter all the body fluids, are at risk for greater damage when the concentration of toxins is higher.
Hydration
The key to becoming hydrated is to get the water into the cell.
Structured water hydrates the intracellular space 2-3 times more effectively than non-structured water.
In nature, water is structured and cleansed through movement (flowing through vortexes down mountains, rivers and streams) and percolating through the layers of rock, accumulating in the aquifers.
With structured water, the molecules are organized, cohesive, stable and fit into the aquaporin (the gateway) of the cell, resulting in cellular hydration. Drinking structured water (water can be structured by adding organic fruits or herbs to it because the fruit and plant material contain structured water) will result in the body’s water being structured.
Dead Water
Water that travels through city pipes and has been through water treatment facilities is structurally very different than water that is structured by nature through natural rocks and vortex’s that contribute to the “energy” and mineralization of the water. Reverse osmosis water has all the toxins removed, but it also has all the needed minerals removed which has led some water authorities to call it “dead water”.
4th Phase Water
It was thought that water existed in 3 phases: solid, liquid and gas.
Dr. Gerald Pollack at the University of Washington has revolutionized our understanding of water when he discovered the fourth phase of water he calls The Exclusion Zone or EZ water. This “Gel water”, or “living water” exists between the liquid and solid phases of water. It is identified by an extra hydrogen and oxygen atom, so the molecular structure is H302 and has a liquid crystalline phase. It has distinct and stable physical properties such as higher viscosity and index of refraction compared to standard H20.
This phase has two intriguing properties: it can eject dissolved species (hence why Dr. Pollack calls it the exclusion zone water), and it forms by splitting the water (H2O) molecule without the need for inefficient electrolysis or photosynthesis. There are two useful applications for this discovery: water purification and energy generation. As the EZ zone expands, a negatively charged zone surrounds the cell, pushing all the positively charged particles into the “bulk” water, the water outside the EZ zone. When the EZ zone expands, cells are separated and are able to perform their metabolic function (delivering oxygen to the tissues and removing waste products of cellular metabolism). When the EZ zone collapses (exposure to toxins, EMF and Glyphosate cause the EZ zone to collapse) cells become “sticky” (seen as rouleaux) and diminishes the metabolic function of the cells resulting in dis-ease.
Filtration
The last government reforms to water safety were in the 1930’s.
There have been over 85,000 synthetic chemicals and toxins developed and released into the water supply since 1942. Many of these toxins are carcinogenic (known to cause cancer) or inflammatory.
The refrigerator filters are designed to improve water smell and taste (caused by iron and chlorine) only. It is imperative to have filtration systems that remove toxins like chlorine, fluoride, pharmaceuticals, pesticides, Glyphosate and heavy metals.
Hydrogen Water
Hydrogen is a critically important element in the body. Hydrogen is generated in the intestines when the intestines are healthy and have a proper microbiome. Sadly, most people and animals have “leaky gut” and a poor microbiome (their gut is inflamed and the gut microbes are not healthy).
Drinking water enriched with molecular hydrogen has massive health benefits. The hydrogen can stimulate gastric hormones and it also acts as a free radical scavenger. Hydrogen has the ability to stimulate anaerobic micro-flora growth in the gut that are needed to maintain a healthy gut lining. After hydrogen enters the cell, it combines with Reactive Oxygen Species (ROS) like Hydroxyl Radicals (-OH) and turns them into water which both hydrates the cell and curbs the DNA damaging effects of free radicals in the cell.
Making Molecular Hydrogen Water
There are 2 types of machines that can produce molecular hydrogen water.
One works through electrolysis. This system requires electricity. The hydrogen water produced this way may be alkaline or have a neutral PH.
It is critically important to understand that the hydrogen made this way is not stable for long in solution and will dissipate out over hours.
It is not the alkalinity that makes molecular hydrogen water beneficial to drink, it is the hydrogen.
It is ideal to drink freshly made molecular hydrogen water because the hydrogen is not stable in the water and dissipates out with time.
The other machine uses a chemical reaction with magnesium to produce hydrogen saturated water. The advantage of this technology is that it does not require electricity. If you live in a region where power outages are common, this technology may be better suited.
Kibble Diets, Toxins, Lack of Water
Though it has become popular to feed cats a “kibble” diet (devoid of moisture), this has contributed to cats becoming increasingly more dehydrated (remember, they were designed to get 70% of their water from their prey diet). Non organic kibble diets are loaded with chemicals, preservatives, Glyphosate and other toxins. The combined rise in toxins with increasing dehydration has lead to chronic kidney disease being the number one cause of death in cats in America.
Toxins come from many sources: what is breathed, what touches the skin or what is ingested. The body has protective membranes that filter and screen toxins, preventing them from entering the body and causing harm. If the layers of defense are breached and toxins enter the body, the liver will detect the invaders and mount an “inflammatory response” to remove the invaders. Once the invaders are gone, the body repairs the membranes and balance is returned. The problem in today’s world is that the toxins never stop bombarding the body, leading to chronic “leaky membranes” and triggering a chronic inflammatory response.
Inflammation
Inflammation is the underlying common denominator in ALL disease, for people or pets. The more that can be done to reduce or eliminate inflammation, the healthier the individual will be. Drinking highly filtered, structured molecular enriched water has massive health implications for pets and people!
