Review by Catherine Austin Fitz
Having grown up around doctors and scientists, I knew that the decline in research science and medicine was bad. The events of the last two years have been a wake-up call reminding me that the current state of affairs is very bad indeed.
Not Even Trying: The Corruption of Real Science is a highly intelligent rant – published in 2012 by Bruce G. Charlton, a retired British doctor and Visiting Professor of Theoretical Medicine at the University of Buckingham in the UK – that lays out just how badly science has devolved.
In one sense, the conversion of research science to an industry funded and controlled by central banks and government – an industry that can be weaponized to serve political purposes – is a story that we have seen duplicated across many areas of our society. Charlton says this decline started in 1950. I would point out that this was immediately following the National Security Act of 1947 and the CIA Act of 1949 – and the beginning of the explosive growth in the size and power of the black budget and the Western intelligence services.
One of Charlton’s points is that science has been broken down into microspecialities that are not checked against each other. As a result, the combined sciences have lost overall coherence. Scientists have become overspecialized – narrowly focused experts who do not understand that what they are saying makes no sense on an integrated basis.
An even bigger problem is that we have created a politicized science that cannot support or generate the increases in productivity that our society requires to provide for our current economy and liabilities, let alone continue to pour billions into corrupt science. Considering what Charlton says, I wonder if the black budget has funded a “breakaway” research science and medical infrastructure as part of what some call the “breakaway civilization.”
If the ongoing coup d’état represents the breakaways “breaking back in,” it may well be that they have concluded the traditional scientific establishment is unnecessary for their true scientific purposes. If that is the case, its only use is to promote the “science” and “technology” that deliver the human race into complete central banking control.
When the sound money promoters rant about the harm that fiat currencies can do, add the corruption of research science and medicine to the list.
